Drinkwater's play was performed on Broadway in the early 20th century.  This production is a powerful political drama following Lincoln's life from just prior to his election, through his election, through the Civil War, to his death in April 1865.  An official activity of the Kentucky Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission and endorsed by the National Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission.  Sponsored by the Kentucky Arts Council.
